Every water situation is unique, and our services aim to help individuals, governments, non-governmental organizations and communities meet the water demands of their constituents -- on time and on budget. We specialize in finding sustainable solutions to your drinking water problems.

Sumatra

After the tsunami hit the coasts of Sumatra and Sri Lanka, Blackburn & Associates was there, providing 200 filters to some of the hardest-hit areas. We will continue to work in these remote locations as they recover in the years to come.

Ghana

Pilot project in Ghana
A slow sand filtration project in a refugee camp in Ghana, Africa.

Blackburn & Associates, working with local and international groups and the Ghana government, designed and supplied parts for a pilot project slow sand filter at the Liberian refugee camp in Accra. We also developed training and operational protocols to make this filter a success and a model for future filter projects in this part of West Africa.



Peru

Blackburn & Associates was retained by an NGO to evaluate a partially completed slow sand filter system for a community on the east slope of the Andes and to then come up with a plan to complete the system, supervise its completion, and train community members in design and operation.
